Good morning. It is chilly and sunny here today.
I have a lot of organizing to do today. Mostly my thoughts. Harry will probably run into Melfort to rent us a post office box. There is no door to door mail delivery in our new neighbourhood.
My deepest condolences to Lyn's family and friends. She will be in my thoughts.
Sending prayers of comfort for you all, have a good day

It's sunny and a chilly 49° outside, Not much going on here, it's eye shot day, and getting laundry done. it's also *hide and seek* day. Michael (hid) put the dishes out of the dishwasher away for me last night, now I have to (seek) find where he put them away at. Hey, at least he helped LOL Prayer of comfort and peace for Lyn's family and anyone else who needs them, Michael's getting out of the shower, time to run.

Good morning. Aunt Budee you brought back a memory that made me smile. When I was 8 or 9 years old my parents, grandparents and I went to visit my grandma's sister in Niles Michigan. She was crippled and in a wheel chair her entire life and she also had dementia. Just before we pulled into her driveway my parents instructed me, that I was not to eat anything Auntie gave me. I was to tell her "no thank you I'm not hungry". I didn't understand it at first but during the time we spent with her it became clear. She rolled her way through the kitchen and spotted a plate on the floor. She picked it up, looked it over and said, "who left this plate on the floor" and put it back in the cupboard. Come to find out the plate was used to feed her dog and since the dog licked it clean, she assumed it was clean. Makes me chuckle when I think of it now.
Beautiful but cold day. Sunshine makes everything better. My nephew just dropped a folder off with a bunch of photos of my sister. Made me cry yet happy for the memories, especially knowing she's in a better place and no longer suffering pain or dementia. Enjoy your day

Good afternoon.
I came here earlier to start a good morning thread, but after the news of Lyn, I just didn’t have it in me. She’s been here since the beginning, and a great one for remembering birthdays. Her birthday is coming up…May 2nd.
Nice that you won’t have to have mail stopped when you’re on trips Caroline. One advantage of a post office box. I wish I could send Lyric to help you organize. It’s one of her favorite things to do!
Wish I could go to your chiro with you jojo. I need mine and he is on vacation this week. Hope your appointment helps.
Bless his heart aunt Budee. In his mind, he is helping and being useful. We smile through the tears.
As much as I love dogs, I wouldn’t want to share their unwashed dish either spunky. I love some of the kid memories we have.
Tea time. Have a nice afternoon.

I tell everyone when you deal with Dementia ... every day is a new adventure. One I wouldn't trade the world for. Michael isn't as bad as some I've heard of, so for that I'm grateful. I've had people tell me I should "put home in a home" and I tell them he is in a home ... his home!!

Keep him at home as long as you can aunt Budee. If Skip were able to walk, that’s what I would have done…had him home with me. Unfortunately too many falls and me being unable to lift him from a wheel chair made a care facility our only option. He was well taken care of, knew some of the residents, and had gone to school with a couple of them. Caring for him was the best job I ever had. Happy for both of you that you are able to care for Michael.

Dementia is so heart breaking and my heart goes out to both of you. I'll never forget the last time I saw my sister in the hospital when she was dying. My brother in-law bumped her bed and she screamed at him, "Johnny stop bumping my bed!" She closed her eyes and in less then 2 minutes, her eyes fly open and she looks at him with love in her eyes and as sweet as honey says, "you're such a love!" All I could think was what a Rollercoaster of a life they must have. Aunt Budee you and Michael will be in my prayers
